Until the pet passport scheme was introduced, keeping pets in France was problematic for many UK expats. These days however, life for animal lovers is easier and domestic pets can travel relatively easily between France and the UK.

To enter France from the UK they only need to be positively identified (ie tattooed or microchipped) and, 30 days before travel, vaccinated against rabies.
