THE TEE FRANCE TEAM IS HERE TO HELP YOU WITH ALL YOUR FRENCH PROPERTY RELATED LEGAL REQUIREMENTS.
The team comprises... Cathy Izzard - Partner Hervé Blatry – French Avocat (Lawyer) Indra Balassoupramaniane - French Avocat (Lawyer) Sally Irving – Client Liaison
Usually they are supported by a trainee French avocat and also by English speaking support staff. Hervé, Indra and Sally are bilingual and, unlike many of our competitors who do not have the benefit of in-house avocats to advise their clients, our legal advice is provided by fully qualified lawyers.
Our guidance is independent and our objective view of the legal issues will help you to make a realistic assessment and anticipate and avoid any problems. Whether you are thinking of buying a second home, or are planning to take up permanent residence in France, there are a number of related issues on which we can offer specialist guidance. These include inheritance, wills, tax and estate planning. Our team is also qualified to settle disputes, in and our of court, draw up contracts and help with the French administration process.
We provide corporate and commercial advice on company formation, takeovers and leases. Also as a division of Stanley Tee LLP, we can put you in touch with lawyers from other departments who can help you with legal matters such as selling your home in the United Kingdom, setting up or amending existing UK wills, trusts etc. or mortgaging your United Kingdom home to fund your purchase in France.
BUYING AND SELLING PROPERTIES IN FRANCE. We can provide legal advice to assist you in your purchase of a property in France. If both you and the seller are British we can conduct your transaction entirely in pounds sterling. Our expertise also includes traditional Conveyancing, leaseback schemes, new builds, conversions, apartments, ski chalets, listed buildings, fishing lakes and commercial property.
MORTGAGE ADVICE You may require a loan to fund your purchase. We will ensure that it is clear in the contract that you will only complete the purchase if the mortgage is obtained – so no nasty surprises!
FRENCH INHERITANCE LAW French law dictates that certain heirs have automatic rights of inheritance, which must be respected, but there are ways to structure the purchase to minimize the impact.
TAX ISSUES Your sale or purchase will raise tax issues and we are able to give advice on all relevant taxes.
OTHER SERVICES We are also able to help you with legal matters that may arise after the purchase, such as: * Dealing with the French administration process. * Dispute resolution, both in and out of court, e.g. boundary disputes and noisy neighbours. * Drawing up commercial contracts and rental agreements.
STANLEY TEE LLP Tee France is a division of Stanley Tee LLP – an established and progressive firm of solicitors with 5 regional offices serving London, the Home Counties and the Eastern Region. |
