La Clé d’Or Immobilier is an Estate Agency based in the Languedoc-Roussillon. It is here that we have gained many years experience in the real estate business concentrating mainly on the department of the Aude, with it’s famous regions such as the Montagne Noire, the Cabardès, the Lauragais, the Corbières, and the Minervois also the stunning cities of Carcassonne and Limoux.

WHY WE LOVE THIS REGION
We have been living, working and studying here since 1987 and the question often asked of us is ‘why did you choose this area of France?’ Our answer is, the Aude has everything. There are mountains like the Pyrenees and the Montagne Noire, the Mediterranean Sea, valleys, hills, wild gorges, glorious sunflower fields, forests, roughdry garrigues, villages full of character, magnificent castles, abbeys and ancient ruins.
The Aude was the center for the heretical Cathars with their rich and diverse history, which you will find is still represented in towers and Castles dotted around the landscape, the pinnacle of their architectural achievement being the dreamlike fortress ‘La Cité de Carcassonne’.
Nature has created a mosaic of very different landscapes in this department and the local winemakers have added even more color. The vines of high quality vineyards create a patchwork across the region of the Corbières, the Minervois, and Limoux, which incidentally produced the original method for Champagne.
It is a region that therefore attracts many tourists but thankfully no big tour-operators. The road system here is extensive and well maintained, there are good rail connections and two daily flights by Ryanair from London Stansted to Carcassonne, as well as daily flights to Toulouse (90 km from Carcassone) from many British and Irish airports.

OUR AGENCIES
There are two Agencies; one in the picturesque village of Saissac, with it’s Cathar Castle, and the other in Cuxac-Cabardès, on the road from Carcassonne to Mazamet the RD 118.
Our agencies are open from Monday to Saturday. We may be on the road, we therefore advise you to call us first.
